Born and raised in the Czech Republic. After earning a degree in management, my wanderlust took over, and spending an amazing year in England was just the beginning of my journey.
Deep love for traveling, extensive experience in customer service and hospitality along with strong organizational skills and attention to detail made pursuing a venture of vacation rental property management an obvious choice. Yes, however, there are some rules and guidelines to be aware of. Tampa, Apollo Beach and Hillsborough County has 7 day (6 night) minimum stay requirement. Other cities such as Temple Terrace and Plant City have no regulations at all. You'll also need proof of property and liability insurance and will need to collect and remit State Sales, County Sales and Tourist Development taxes.

Any transient occupancy business is required to register with the Florida Department of Revenue and collect Florida transient occupancy taxes when the property is booked. If taxes aren’t being collected for you, you’re responsible for collecting and remitting taxes. The sales tax rate for Hillsborough County is currently 6%, the Florida state tax rate is 6% and the Discretionary Sales Surtax charged is based on the location where the lodging is furnished (Hillsborough County 1.50% and Pinellas County 1%).
